Events Manager 2.0 released
Ladies and gentleman, Events Manager 2.0 has been finally released.
Events Manager 2.0 is loaded with new features, like Recurring Events, Location Management and RSVP. There’s also a new multi-location map.
Events manager has been brought to you by yours truly, thanks to the sponsorship of Brian Richards and Tyler Suchmann. A special thanks also to Ben Dunkle who has created the plugin menu icon.

Great Plugin. Probably the nearest one to what I need so far. I would like to make a couple of suggestions for future release.
Event categories – It would be good to be able to link events with WP Categories. That will allow that side bar widget to push out event list relevant to the category being viewed. eg One of my sites deals with Harley Bikes & Triumph Bikes. So when people are in the Harley section I can present them with Harley related events.
User Event Submissions – I would be good to allow users to be able to submit events with Admin Auth or not as the case may be.
Custom Fields – Allow admin to create extra fields for the event listing.
Event Tickets – Integratging a simple paypal plugin to allow event titckets to be sold.
There are a few others, but I will wait until the next realse to review again.
Overall: Love the plugin
PS: If you are interested in taking on WP project then shoot me an email. As I have a project that needs completing hopefully using your plugin as the core element

Thanks for your suggestion. Some of them might be a bit beyond the scope of the plugin, but one never knows what might happen in the future. I had never contemplated adding RSVP, until I was convinced to do otherwise.

great plugin, but i haven’t understood how to show a map with the multiple markers..where i should place the [locations-map] shortcode? i’ve tried writing in a post or event but it does not work. i must write it inside the html of my theme? really tnx!

Great plugin! Great work…very well done as far as plugin design, ease of use and effectiveness. I’m still toggling about with my theme in order to have it behave as I want but I’m already extremely fond of this plugin! Keep up the good work! Thx!
